Yesterday, our Apex team, along with Dom Mulford and Paul Duffy from b&m, hosted a group of 12 Construction T-Level students from EKC Folkestone College at the Folkestone Leas Lift. Led by Simon Hilling, the site tour provided an in-depth look at the history of the lift and the restoration work that will soon begin.
The students, accompanied by their Industry Liaison Officer, Heather Williams, had the opportunity to learn about the projects scope, b&m’s early involvement, and the specialist works required. They also reviewed project drawings, the programme timeline, and CGI visuals created by ACME.
After the tour, Sasha Silk, Simon Hilling, and Sam Pateman returned to the college to carry out T-Level placement interviews. We’re pleased to announce that one student, who demonstrated real enthusiasm for the construction industry, has been offered a placement starting this march. We are looking forward to sharing more about him when we have welcomed him to the team!
